Today I explored some of my artwork that I made when I was in college. I found some prints that I made from a lino-block. The design came from a photograph of a bicycle wheel that I had actually woven photographic ink ribbon around for a high school art project. This particular project has gone through so many levels of expression. This one is inspired by the Truffala Tree from the Lorax.
As I create my art, I am usually lured in by the use of color. Contrasting warm and cool colors agains various directional lines keeps interest for the eye.
Try to find something seemingly meaningless. Transform it. Make it meaningful, and find comfort in creating something new.
